Statue from the sanctuary of Artemis at Delion.
The statue, according to the to the inscription on the base in front of the feet of the kore, so that it is seen by the gods, is dedicated to Artemis by Aris, the daughter of Teisinor.
Found in 1899 during the excavation of the sanctuary of Delion. According to Otto Rubensohn it was set up in the south east corner of the temple.
The goddess is wearing a high polos, (headdress). Her hair hangs in long tresses and she is wearing a peplos with a himation, which is drawn above her polos and falls behind her back. She also wears a belt and sandals with high platform soles. circa 360 B.C.
