Fresco of "Donkey-Headed" Figures (Inv. No. 2776)
Caption: A rare ritual scene from the Cult Center of Mycenae depicting a procession of anthropomorphic figures with donkey heads. Dressed in long ceremonial robes and carrying a pole across their shoulders, these figures likely represent masked cult participants or protective "daemons" (genii) engaged in a sacred performance.
Dates: Late Helladic IIIB (c. 1250–1180 BCE).
