Head of a statue. Found in Lycia, Asia Minor. About 500 BCE.

Poros stone. The figure, who wears a lion skin over her head, is probably the Lydian Queen Omphale. Herakles was a servant of Omphale for three years, according to the gods' wish, in order to atone for the death of Iphitos.

Exhibited in the National Archaeological Museum in Athens, Greece.
