The Archaeological Museum of Argostoli, located on G. Vergoti Street. The building was constructed in 1957 to replace the original museum that was destroyed during the devastating 1953 Ionian earthquake. To the left, you can see the marble bust of Ilias Zervos-Iakovatos (1814–1894), a prominent Cephalonian politician, journalist, and member of the "Radicals" who fought for the Union of the Ionian Islands with Greece.
Η εξωτερική όψη του Αρχαιολογικού Μουσείου Αργοστολίου, στην οδό Γ. Βεργωτή. Το κτίριο οικοδομήθηκε το 1957 για να αντικαταστήσει το αρχικό μουσείο που καταστράφηκε από τον καταστροφικό σεισμό του 1953.
Στα αριστερά διακρίνεται η μαρμάρινη προτομή του Ηλία Ζερβού-Ιακωβάτου (1814–1894), εξέχοντος Κεφαλονίτη πολιτικού, δημοσιογράφου και μέλους των «Ριζοσπαστών» που αγωνίστηκαν για την Ένωση των Επτανήσων με την Ελλάδα.
