A detail of a mosaic border panel showing an intricate acanthus scroll design populated by mythological motifs. Within the swirling green, blue, and terracotta foliage, a small centaur leaps among the tendrils, set against a background of light-colored tesserae. This decorative band formed part of an elaborate mosaic floor framing a larger central composition in a Roman-era building.

Λεπτομέρεια ψηφιδωτής ταινίας που απεικονίζει σύνθετο πλοχμό ακάνθου με μυθολογικά θέματα. Ανάμεσα στις ελισσόμενες πράσινες, μπλε και κεραμιδί έλικες προβάλλει μια μικρή μορφή κενταύρου σε κίνηση, τοποθετημένη σε ανοιχτόχρωμο φόντο. Η διακοσμητική αυτή ζώνη αποτελούσε πλαίσιο μεγαλύτερου κεντρικού ψηφιδωτού δαπέδου από κτίσμα της ρωμαϊκής περιόδου.
