A set of polished stone celts (ax heads and chisels) dating to the Neolithic period (c. 6800–3200 BCE).

These tools were crafted from hard, dark stone through a process of grinding and polishing, a technological leap that allowed early inhabitants of Kefalonia to clear forests and engage in advanced woodworking. These specimens were found in various prehistoric sites across the island and were exhibited in Room I of the Archaeological Museum of Argostoli.

Σειρά λειασμένων λίθινων πελέκεων και σμιλών που χρονολογούνται στη Νεολιθική περίοδο (περ. 6800–3200 π.Χ.). Τα εργαλεία αυτά κατασκευάστηκαν από σκληρό, σκουρόχρωμο λίθο μέσω της διαδικασίας της κρούσης και της λείανσης, μια τεχνολογική πρόοδο που επέτρεψε στους πρώτους κατοίκους της Κεφαλονιάς να καθαρίζουν δασώδεις εκτάσεις και να ασχοληθούν με την ξυλουργική. + Τα συγκεκριμένα δείγματα προέρχονται από διάφορες προΐστορικές θέσεις του νησιού και εκτίθεντο στην Αίθουσα Ι του Αρχαιολογικού Μουσείου Αργοστολίου.
