This marble kouros torso was discovered adjacent to the Altar of Helios at Kameiros, alongside another kouros currently exhibited in the same gallery [1]. Attributed to a Naxian workshop, the sculpture exemplifies the widespread influence of the Cycladic sculptural tradition across the Aegean during the mid-6th century BCE [1]. The robust anatomical structure and the specific treatment of the marble surfaces reflect the early development of monumental Archaic proportions before the shift toward the more delicate East Greek styles prevalent on Rhodes [2].

Αυτός ο μαρμάρινος κορμός κούρου ανακαλύφθηκε δίπλα στον Βωμό του Ηλίου στην Κάμειρο, μαζί με έναν ακόμη κούρο που εκτίθεται στην ίδια αίθουσα [1]. Το γλυπτό αποδίδεται σε Ναξιακό εργαστήριο και αποτελεί παράδειγμα της ευρείας εξάπλωσης της κυκλαδικής γλυπτικής παράδοσης στο Αιγαίο κατά τα μέσα του 6ου αιώνα π.Χ. [1]. Η στιβαρή ανατομική δομή και η συγκεκριμένη επεξεργασία των μαρμάρινων επιφανειών αντανακλούν την πρώιμη εξέλιξη των μνημειακών Αρχαϊκών αναλογιών πριν από τη στροφή προς το λεπτότερο ανατολικό ελληνικό ύφος που επικράτησε στη Ρόδο [2].
