Lekanis: Zeus Defeats the Giants
In the beginning, there were only primitive, inhuman, chaotic forces, Titans and formidable Giants. After the gods were born, they sought to overthrow them. Zeus, as leader of the Olympian hosts, unleashed his anger, mighty steeds and thunderbolts. A terrible battle ensued in which the Giants were defeated, and their shackled, monstrous bodies have writhed in the depths of Tartarus ever since. Victory was claimed by the powerful gods, handsome, perfect and human-like.
