Olivar del Zaudín Park, Tomares (Seville)
Three of the amphorae from the set of nineteen containing more than fifty thousand coins. They were found arranged vertically. tightly packed together, inside a pit. All correspond to the same type of container. originally used for transporting Betic oil.
The accidental breakage of ten of them, in the context of the discovery. offers a unique collection of twenty-eight thousand coins for the study and understanding of a short period of the Late Roman Empire. The remainder, just over twenty-six thousand, preserved inside nine intact and sealed amphorae, constitutes an extraordinary resource for future research.
