Colossal female head wearing the polos, a sacred headdress. It might be from the statue of Hera that was situated inside the Archaic Temple of Hera (Heraion), or from an acroterion Sphinx of another building. Limestone. Circa 600 BCE

Exhibited in Archaeological Museum of Olympia, Peloponnese, Greece.
