Colossal statue of a seated goddess, probably of Artemis.
Found in 1885 in fragments in the south-east of Paros. The goddess is represented on a throne, wearing a draped chiton and himation worn obliquely, seated on a cushion and rests her legs on a footstool. Her two arms were probably held out in front of her. An inscription, found in the area and referring to the cult of Artemis, leads to identifying the statue with the goddess. circa 490 - 480 B.C.
