Roman sarcophagus depicting the Abduction of Proserpina (often referred to as the Rapt de Prosèrpina). (approx. 160–180 AD). From the Necropolis of Santa Pola. Imperial Roman

The front panel shows Pluto in his chariot, grabbing a struggling Proserpina. You can also see other figures from the myth, including Minerva trying to stop the abduction and Mercury guiding the horses.
Made with White Carrara marble. 210 cm in length.
