This group of terracotta figurines highlights the distinctive "Daedalic" style that flourished in Crete during the 7th Century BCE. The central figure features the classic triangular face and horizontal, "wig-like" layers of hair that define the period. Her arms are held close to her body in a rigid, formal posture, and her cylindrical lower half represents the heavy, woven garments worn by women in early Iron Age Crete. Αυτή η ομάδα πήλινων ειδωλίων αναδεικνύει τον χαρακτηριστικό «δαιδαλικό» ρυθμό που ήκμασε στην Κρήτη κατά τον 7ο αι. π.Χ. Η κεντρική μορφή φέρει το κλασικό τριγωνικό πρόσωπο και τις οριζόντιες, κλιμακωτές στρώσεις των μαλλιών που θυμίζουν περούκα και καθορίζουν την περίοδο. Τα χέρια της είναι κολλημένα στο σώμα σε μια αυστηρή, επίσημη στάση, ενώ το κυλινδρικό κάτω μέρος της αναπαριστά τα βαριά, υφαντά ενδύματα που φορούσαν οι γυναίκες στην Κρήτη της πρώιμης Εποχής του Σιδήρου. Τα έργα αυτά πιθανότατα κατασκευάζονταν με τη χρήση μήτρας, επιτρέποντας σε πολλούς πιστούς να αφιερώνουν παρόμοιες εικόνες σε μια τοπική θεότητα.
