Η με νότιο προσανατολισμό θέα από τα υψώματα του φρουρίου του Ακροκορίνθου βλέπει προς τις εκτεταμένες κοιλάδες και τις τραχιές οροσειρές της ενδοχώρας της Πελοποννήσου. Η στρατηγική ανύψωση αυτών των οχυρώσεων παρείχε ένα ανεμπόδιστο σημείο ελέγχου για την παρακολούθηση των χερσαίων διαδρομών και τον έλεγχο της τοπικής πρόσβασης.
