This topographical scale model provides a detailed view of the northwestern approach to the Acropolis of Athens during the Classical period. The composition highlights the steep, fortified slopes of the sacred rock leading up to the monumental gateway, the Propylaia, on the right. Beyond the entrance, the colossal bronze Statue of Athena Promachos is visible standing on the plateau. To the left (north), the Erechtheion is clearly depicted with its distinct multi-level architecture, while the grand Parthenon dominates the highest point of the sanctuary in the background.

Αυτό το τοπογραφικό πρόπλασμα παρέχει μια λεπτομερή όψη της βορειοδυτικής προσέγγισης της Ακρόπολης των Αθηνών κατά την Κλασική περίοδο. Η σύνθεση αναδεικνύει τις απότομες, οχυρωμένες πλαγιές του ιερού βράχου που οδηγούν στη μνημειακή πύλη, τα Προπύλαια, στα δεξιά. Πέρα από την είσοδο, διακρίνεται στο οροπέδιο το κολοσσιαίο χάλκινο Άγαλμα της Αθηνάς Προμάχου. Στα αριστερά (βόρεια), διακρίνεται το Ερέχθειο με την ιδιαίτερη πολυεπίπεδη αρχιτεκτονική του, ενώ ο μεγαλειώδης Παρθενώνας κυριαρχεί στο υψηλότερο σημείο του ιερού στο βάθος.
