Terracotta "Kourotrophos" figurines from the sanctuary of Hermes and Aphrodite at Syme (Kato Symi), dating to the Archaic period (7th–6th Century BCE). These mold-made figures depict a seated or standing female deity holding an infant, a common votive offering symbolizing fertility, motherhood, and the protection of children.

Πήλινα ειδώλια «Κουροτρόφου» από το ιερό του Ερμή και της Αφροδίτης στη Σύμη (Κάτω Σύμη), που χρονολογούνται στην Αρχαϊκή περίοδο (7ος–6ος αι. π.Χ.). Τα μήτρας αυτά ειδώλια απεικονίζουν μια γυναικεία θεότητα που κρατά ένα βρέφος, αποτελώντας ένα συνηθισμένο ανάθημα που συμβολίζει τη γονιμότητα, τη μητρότητα και την προστασία των παιδιών.
