This comprehensive museum display provides a walkthrough of the interconnected rooms that formed the functional core of an Ambracian home. In the foreground, the hearth sits within the oikos, featuring a cooking pot on a metal tripod—a setup designed to maximize heat for both meal preparation and home warming. In the background, two specialized rooms are visible: to the left, the storage room (apotheke) filled with various amphorae for bulk goods, and to the right, the bathroom featuring the characteristic clay hip-tub. This layout demonstrates the efficient organization of space, where vital domestic tasks—cooking, storage, and hygiene—were clustered around the central light and warmth of the household fire.

Αυτή η συνολική μουσειακή αναπαράσταση προσφέρει μια περιήγηση στους αλληλένδετους χώρους που αποτελούσαν τον λειτουργικό πυρήνα ενός σπιτιού στην Αμβρακία. Στο προσκήνιο, η εστία βρίσκεται μέσα στον οίκο, με ένα μαγειρικό σκεύος πάνω σε μεταλλικό τρίποδα—μια διάταξη σχεδιασμένη για τη μέγιστη αξιοποίηση της θερμότητας τόσο για το μαγείρεμα όσο και για τη θέρμανση. Στο βάθος διακρίνονται δύο εξειδικευμένοι χώροι: αριστερά η αποθήκη με ποικίλους αμφορείς για προμήθειες, και δεξιά το λουτρό με τη χαρακτηριστική πήλινη πύελο. Η διάταξη αυτή αναδεικνύει την αποτελεσματική οργάνωση του χώρου, όπου οι ζωτικές οικιακές εργασίες—μαγείρεμα, αποθήκευση και υγιεινή—συγκεντρώνονταν γύρω από το κεντρικό φως και τη ζεστασιά της οικογενειακής εστίας.
