A modern replica of the 4th-century BCE marble statue of Asclepius stands in situ within his sanctuary at the Neapolis. While the original cult statue dates to the late 4th century BCE, the monumental temple and surrounding precinct ruins visible today reached their final form during the 2nd century BCE.
