Το μαρμάρινο γυναικείο άγαλμα απεικονίζει μια μορφή σε στάση σεμνότητας, η οποία ταυτίζεται με τον τύπο της "pudicitia" εξαιτίας του πλούσιου ενδύματος που καλύπτει το κεφάλι και τυλίγεται γύρω από το σώμα [1]. Ανακαλύφθηκε στο Ωδείο της Κω και αποτελεί εξαιρετικό δείγμα της ελληνιστικής Τέχνης του τέλους του 2ου αιώνα π.Χ., με χαρακτηριστική την απόδοση των πτυχώσεων του ιματίου [2]. Το έργο αυτό αναδεικνύει την τοπική καλλιτεχνική παραγωγή της Κω και αντανακλά τις κοινωνικές αξίες και τις τιμητικές παραδόσεις που επικρατούσαν στο Αιγαίο [3].
