Τα αρχιτεκτονικά κατάλοιπα του Ασκληπιείου πλαισιώνονται από ένα πυκνό άλσος κυπαρισσιών και πεύκων, ανακαλώντας τα αρχαία ιερά δάση που κάποτε προστάτευαν το ιερό. Αυτοί οι κάθετοι κίονες από πέτρα και ξύλο δημιουργούν έναν ρυθμικό οπτικό διάλογο, υπογραμμίζοντας την Ελληνιστική ενσωμάτωση των μνημειακών κατασκευών στο φυσικό περιβάλλον. Οι σωζόμενοι κίονες του Ναού του Απόλλωνα στέκονται ως σιωπηλοί μάρτυρες της διαχρονικής κληρονομιάς του χώρου ως τόπου ίασης και πνευματικής περισυλλογής μέσα στο τοπίο του Aegean.
