This fragmentary marble torso represents Hermaphrodite, a subject that gained significant popularity during the late Aegean artistic traditions. The sculpture displays the soft, idealized musculature and dual sexual characteristics typical of the refined anatomical explorations found in the Hellenistic period. Despite the extensive damage to the extremities, the surviving torso remains an important example of the sophisticated stone carving techniques practiced on Milos [1].

Αυτός ο αποσπασματικός μαρμάρινος κορμός αναπαριστά τον Ερμαφρόδιτο, ένα θέμα που απέκτησε μεγάλη δημοτικότητα κατά τις ύστερες καλλιτεχνικές παραδόσεις στο Αιγαίο. Το γλυπτό παρουσιάζει την απαλή, εξιδανικευμένη μυολόγια και τα διπλά σεξουαλικά χαρακτηριστικά που είναι τυπικά των εκλεπτυσμένων ανατομικών αναζητήσεων της Ελληνιστικής περιόδου. Παρά τις εκτεταμένες φθορές στα άκρα, ο σωζόμενος κορμός παραμένει ένα σημαντικό δείγμα των εξελιγμένων τεχνικών λάξευσης λίθου που εφαρμόζονταν στη Μήλο [1].
