Cult statue of the Mother of The Gods. Early 4th c. BCE.
According to the museum's label: "The Goddess is seated on an elaborate throne made in one piece with the statue. She holds a tympanum in her left hand and a phiale in her right hand. The lion is beside her on a separate base. Classical copy of the famous statue in the Metroon at Athens by Agorakritos, pupil of Pheidias.
Found in situ in the temple of the goddess at the central square of Moschaton, the ancient deme of Xypete."
