Kyrenia ship scale model. 300 BCE.

"Cargo vessel with 14 tons displacement was raised piece by piece and reconstructed in 1974 to prove the skill of ancient shipwrights. She had a 700 sq. f. linen sailcloth and the most basic point was a lead sheathing to protect the hull from the worms."

Exhibited at the Maritime Museum, Chania, Greece.
