Ancient theater orchestra, cavea, and skene ruins

The partially excavated remains of the ancient theater of Stratos are built into a natural, grassy hillside. The site features a circular dirt orchestra, scattered remnants of the stone seating area (cavea), and the foundational outlines of the stage building (skene) in the foreground. A stepped stone retaining wall (analemma) borders the right side of the seating arrangement. Constructed in the 4th century BCE, the theater originally accommodated up to 6,000 spectators.

Τα μερικώς ανασκαμμένα ερείπια του αρχαίου θεάτρου του Στράτου είναι χτισμένα σε μια φυσική, χλοερή πλαγιά. Ο χώρος διαθέτει μια κυκλική χωμάτινη ορχήστρα, διάσπαρτα υπολείμματα του λίθινου κοίλου και τα θεμέλια του κτιρίου της σκηνής στο προσκήνιο. Ένας κλιμακωτός πέτρινος αναλημματικός τοίχος οριοθετεί τη δεξιά πλευρά των καθισμάτων. Κατασκευασμένο τον 4ο αιώνα π.Χ., το θέατρο είχε αρχικά χωρητικότητα έως και 6.000 θεατών.
