About Ancient-Greece.org

3d Edition

Ancient-Greece.org is a research resource and photo catalogue dedicated to the study of Ancient Greece. This is the 3d edition (2024) of the publication which was established in 2002.

Rich in photographic evidence, this e-publication highlights the surviving physical landscapes and artifacts of ancient Greek civilization.

It strives to be a pleasant visual treat for casual readers as well as a useful source of materials for scholars.

Ancient-Greece.org is not affiliated with any government entity, or any other website.

Ancient-Greece.org is created and published by Thomas Sakoulas, a professor and former Chair of the Art Department at the State University of New York, at Oneonta.

This catalogue represents the documentation of a journey through the art, time, and places of Ancient Greece. It presents the author’s photographic portfolio and research, and provides the learning ground for his Art & Design practice.

Text, design, and images are original, unless otherwise labeled in rare exceptions.
