Anavyssos Kouros. Circa 530 BCE.

Funerary statue for a youth named Kroisos found in Anavyssos, Attica. The inscription on the base reads "Stay and mourn at the monument for dead Kroisos whom violent Ares destroyed, fighting in the front rank."
Made with Parian marble. Exhibited at the National Archaeological Museum in Athens, Greece.
