The Centaur of Lefkandi, face detail. Late Protogeometric period. Made of clay. 1050 - 900 BCE.

The deliberately painted nick on his right leg is associated with the wound that Herakles infilcted on the Centaur Chiron with an arrow. His right hand has six fingers.
Exhibited at the Archaeological Museum of Eretria, Euboea, Greece.
