Carved directly into the limestone bedrock at the base of the monumental stairway, this unique relief depicts the stern of a Rhodian trireme [1]. The sculpture served as the base for a lost bronze statue of General Hagesander, commissioned to celebrate a significant naval victory [1]. Adjacent to the vessel, the stone-cut semicircular exedra offered a ceremonial resting place for visitors ascending to the Acropolis sanctuary [1].

Λαξευμένο απευθείας στον ασβεστολιθικό βράχο στη βάση της μνημειακής κλίμακας, αυτό το μοναδικό ανάγλυφο απεικονίζει την πρύμνη μιας ροδιακής τριήρους [1]. Το γλυπτό χρησίμευε ως βάση για έναν χαμένο χάλκινο ανδριάντα του στρατηγού Αγήσανδρου, ο οποίος παραγγέλθηκε για να εορταστεί μια σημαντική ναυτική νίκη [1]. Δίπλα στο πλοίο, η λαξευμένη στο βράχο ημικυκλική εξέδρα προσέφερε έναν τελετουργικό χώρο ανάπαυσης για τους επισκέπτες που ανέβαιναν στο ιερό της Ακρόπολης [1].
